Hey there! Welcome to my blog, Hashed By Abed. I’m so glad you’re here.

First things first, let me introduce myself. My name is Abed. I’m doing my Master’s in Business Analytics at USC and will be graduating in May of 2025. Last Spring, I took a class on blockchain analytics, and it didn’t take long for me to fall in love with blockchain. Since then, I’ve been working with Aurkei, where we’re building a data staking healthcare coin. It’s been amazing to see how blockchain can actually shake things up in industries like healthcare.

When I first learned about blockchain, I didn’t know where to start (there was so much to uncover, it kind of felt like trying to explain NFTs to my grandma: a fun but nearly impossible idea). Luckily, I joined the Blockchain@USC club. Before I knew it, I was geeking out over governance models during club meetings, and I realized I’d found my niche. Maybe my undergrad in Business Administration and Organizational Leadership kicked in, sparking my interest in how systems are managed?

Shortly after, I realized there weren’t many resources for people into blockchain governance (let alone dedicated blogs or newsletters). That’s when I felt the need to start a blog and newsletter focused on blockchain governance.

This space is my way of sharing ideas about blockchain governance, a topic I’m deeply passionate about and believe deserves more attention. Whether you’re new to blockchain and exploring this amazing technology, or already in the space and looking for a community focused on governance, you’re in the right place.
